Firehouse Training: One Platform Across Virtual, Tabletop, and Live Field Training

Firehouse Training delivers fire service and CBRNE training across virtual, tabletop, and live field formats out of Toronto, Canada. Adam McFadden's team needed a single platform that worked across every format — no more separate tools for separate delivery modes. SYGNAL unified the training approach.

The Organization

Firehouse Training (firehousetraining.ca) is a Toronto, Canada-based training provider serving fire service and CBRNE teams. They deliver programs across virtual online classes, in-classroom tabletop exercises, and live field drills — and need tools that function equally well in every mode.

The Challenge

Running both virtual and in-person training programs required a tool that worked across all formats — tabletop scenarios, virtual online classes, and live field exercises. Most tools are format-specific. A single platform that worked across all three would simplify instruction and standardize student experience.

The Solution

Firehouse Training deployed SYGNAL across every training format. The unlimited range capability lets instructors add realistic gas detection simulation to every class — virtual, tabletop, or live — without changing tools or adjusting curriculum between formats.

The Result

SYGNAL is now used in every training format Firehouse Training runs. Platform flexibility unified the training approach, simplified instructor workflow, and gave students consistent exposure to gas detection scenarios regardless of how the class was delivered.

In Their Words

"SYGNAL's unlimited range helps us add range to all of our classes." — Adam McFadden, Firehouse Training
