SYGNAL ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, command web app, and marketing website.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, organization, and payment information when you purchase a subscription or product. We also collect usage data including session activity, device information, crash diagnostics, and approximate location data during training exercises (with your consent). Bluetooth scan data from SYGNAL Source beacons is processed on-device during exercises and is not transmitted off-device unless you upload an after-action report.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our services, process transactions, send communications related to your account, support your training operations, and generate the analytics that power Command and after-action reports. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers (such as Stripe for payments and Firebase for hosting and infrastructure) under contractual data-protection obligations.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2+ and at rest using industry-standard encryption protocols. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and audited.
Data Retention
Account and subscription data is retained for the lifetime of your subscription and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and reporting requirements. Training session data and after-action reports are retained according to your organization's plan; you may request deletion at any time.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law (including GDPR for users in the EU/UK and CCPA/CPRA for California residents).
Children's Privacy
SYGNAL is intended for professional and adult training audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@sygnalapp.com so we can remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app, by email, or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of SYGNAL after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
