SYGNAL SAM (Simulated Area Monitor) is a portable simulated area gas monitor designed to replicate the function and operational behavior of deployable industrial area monitoring systems used to protect personnel and establish safety perimeters.
When deployed, SYGNAL SAM acts as a fixed area detector, generating simulated gas readings and alarm conditions based on distance, intensity, and configured thresholds, mirroring real-world area monitor behavior. Its location, status, and readings can be viewed remotely in real time on a shared map, enabling coordinated response, command oversight, and realistic perimeter management during exercises.
SYGNAL SAM supports offline operation as well as connected operation via 5G or Wi-Fi, making it ideal for facility-based training, large area exercises, multi agency exercises, and major event preparedness. Scenarios are fully instructor-controlled and repeatable - without live gas, permanent infrastructure, or installed hardware.
